Anlass für diese Edition war eine Gastprofessur der Kunstpraxis am Institut für Kunstpädagogik der Justus-Liebig-Universität. Die Edition EROTIC ALMOND bezieht sich auf mein erstes Lehrjahr während der Corona Pandemie, das ausschließlich in digitaler Form stattfand. Informationsflüsse und Emotionen wurden nur aus der Distanz und durch den Filter der digitalen Welt wahrgenommen. Wahrheit und Realität wurden während des Lockdowns bipolar diskutiert. Die Begriffe der Virenstämme DELTA und OMICRON tragen das Anagramm MEDIA CONTROL in sich, das als gefundene Wahrheit von Verschwörungstheorien genutzt wurde. Doch wer hier das Wortgeschüttel vorzeitig abbricht, verpasst die Wahrheit hinter der Wahrheit und die EROTIC ALMOND. Die Edition basiert auf einem viralen Twitter Feed im Dezember 2021 - schließlich dient der amerikanische Nationalhut längst nicht mehr nur als Schutz vor Umwelteinflüssen oder als modisches Statement.

The occasion for this edition was a guest professorship of art practice at the Institute for Art Education at Justus Liebig University. The edition EROTIC ALMOND refers to my first year of teaching during the Corona Pandemic, which took place exclusively in digital form. Information flows and emotions were only perceived from a distance and through the filter of the digital world. Truth and reality were discussed bipolar during the lockdown. The terms of the virus strains DELTA and OMICRON carry the anagram MEDIA CONTROL, which was used as found truth of conspiracy theories. But those who prematurely stop the word shaking here miss the truth behind the truth and the EROTIC ALMOND. The edition is based on a viral Twitter feed in December 2021 - after all, the American national hat has long since ceased to serve merely as protection against environmental influences or as a fashion statement.
